4 grunner til at Norge bruker rå donormelk
In Norway, hospitals prioritize the use of raw (unpasteurized) donor milk for premature and vulnerable infants. While many countries rely on pasteurized donor milk to eliminate potential pathogens, Norway has taken a different approach, emphasizing the preservation of breast milk’s natural properties.

Breast milk has long been hailed as liquid gold and an invaluable resource for newborns. Modern research has uncovered that this natural source of nourishment offers much more than just nutrition. Amming - En seier for helse, bærekraft og økonomi
Breastfeeding has long been celebrated for its health benefits, but its broader significance for environmental sustainability and economic value is just beginning to emerge. Anue Pipette Kit – Revolusjonerer oppsamling av kolostrum
Collection of colostrum before birth is encouraged by healthcare professionals and doctors worldwide, and it's a very hot topic right now. Hvorfor morsmelk?
Breast milk has long been recognized as the best option for infant nutrition, but new research and insights show that its significance extends far beyond just nourishment.
Hva er kolostrum/råmelk?
Colostrum is the first form of breastmilk that is released by the mammary glands after giving birth. The colostrum can be collected even before the infant is born, as the production of colostrum starts ahead of birth. Colostrum drops are rich in nutrients. They contain immune substances that strengthens the infants immune system - which can help prevent infections. The milk is high in protein and low in fat and sugar. It's filled with white blood cells that produce antibodies. Colostrum contributes to the maturation of the infants intestine
Hvorfor bli morsmelkdonor?
Breast milk is especially important for sick children or premature infants. The breast milk contains important nutrients and immune substances that can protect the child against infections. It can also develop and mature the immune system and the central nervous system. Due to various reasons, some mothers are unable to offer their own breast milk to their children - these children can be dependent on donor milk for a shorter or longer period of time to get the help they need.
Hva er en melkebank?
A human milk bank collects breast milk donations from mothers who produce more milk than their babies need. They pasteurize and appropriately store the donor milk in medical freezers, and provides it to infants born prematurely or with very low birth weight (or other reasons) in neonatal intensive care units upon request. You can look at a milk bank as an advanced kitchen, and it is often a part of the neonatal intensive care unit in hospitals. The milk banks recruits donors, do follow-ups, and deliver equipment to donors.
